CEIFA's visit (edited with vids)

The CEIFA Brazilian team came over to our church for a dance/drama workshop yesterday. The husband and wife team of Luciana and Alex taught hiphop..but me, being not much of a dancer, couldn't exactly get the steps right.. but had alot of fun =D

As for drama, another couple Ana and Lukas/Lucas? facilitated, with Lukas being the translator. Ana would tell us various scenarios, and we wud have act them out. Be it being an angry, sad or happyy situation.. we wud still be laughing. Guess we Malaysians are not so good in "emoting" or expressing ourselves? hhaha.

After that, she taught us a mime which was simple yet creative. Hopefully we can do that for future performances =)

Today, the entire Braziliam CEIFA team came for Sunday Service! They performed a few dances and a mime.. which were really reallyy goood! =) Will post up those vids later..as it doesn't seem to load in my com =P

Carla introducing the hiphop performance. She has a real strong singing voice, proven when she led worship in CF on Fri =)

Marlo sharing his testimony with Poni translating.

Nikolas (nt sure bout d spelling) and Asaf! playing with their bubuna (car in Portugese)

Cute Asaf playing with drum sticks.

Thiago shared on healing and restoration with Lukas translating.

His own testimony was how God healed him of his 20 over year stutter, was really amazing. Wanting to be a preacher when he was younger, he would buy vcd sermons and study them..he was so enthusiastic bout it that he practiced at home in front of the mirror. One day while in YWAM Brazil, one of d staff came to him and told him that she knows bout his stuttering prob, and how he aspires to be a preacher. Given the task of preaching that day, she told him not to be afraid, and go for it..as God has told her that He will heal him of his stutter.

And true enough, as he went to the pulpit to preach, he was there talking so smoothly that it shocked himself and ppl around him! Imagine a 20 over year stutter disappearing just like dat! Funny thing was, after he came down frm preaching, he was sttutering again.. However, whenever he preaches, he would just stop stuttering! he even joked about how he wished to carry the pulpit wherever he goes, so that he'll speak fluently =P Nevertheless, he was completely healed of the stutter after bout 2 years. This was proved when he spoke so energetically and fluent to us today =)

Wei-Li, me and the cute family! =)

Eunice and half of the team.. most of the team consist of married couples..how sweet!! =)

Asaf the son, Poni the mum and Thiago the dad.. Happy lil family =)

These bunch of ppl really love to laugh and joke! I was surprised how lame they were! For instance, Thiago was claiming how well he could speak Chinese.. curious,we asked him to show us..

With our eyes and ears intently focused on him.. he cooly replied with 2 words :

"Chi-Neeeseeeee......."

and his countrymates burst into laughter.. -_-'

Thiago doing his eye-lid fluttering stunt

Before that, he was pretending to record us with a batteryless camcorder. Hence, the part where he said he'll record our "images" in his mind, and remember the exact time, second and date, lol! Joker betul xD

D Brazilians at lunch ~ lovely ppl they are =)

Though I've only seen this team for 3 days, I'm already missing their infectious joy!

It really encourages me how this bunch of ppl go around the world use their talents for the Lord. With every country they go to, they depend solely on God to provide for all their needs...be it lodging, food and even programmes. Language though a barrier for some of them, appears as no barrier after all, as their love and heart speak louder than any word put together. Their love for God and for people expressed through arts, really motivates me to be good in my music! I guess it's time to restart guitar lessons again! =P
