Survival

One of the things I like about my current job, is the 10ams and 3pms =)) No, they're not toilet breaks nor napping hours but those are the hours where the tea lady pushes the trolley and announces " Coffee!!" wherever she goes, and following her, the wafts of aromatic coffee + milo + tea..mmmmmmm.... =))

And my...they really are tempting especially when the office is freezing under sub-zero temperature..or when i'm overwhelmed by the "so-full-i-wanna-sleep" post lunch syndrome. These nice warm drinks practically are my life support everyday.

However, despite their loveliness.. they're in fact devils in disguise! So goes the saying of a pastor's wife "I used to drink milo everyday, and it transformed me into a milo tin!".. and with that I truly agree! After drinking milo almost everyday for a month, I realized my face has gotten rounder...just like a milo tin!! *screams in horror* And I knew I had to do something before it looked like the "O" in Milo.. Therefore I'm pleased to announce that I had no drop of Milo the entire past week!! *beams*

Now it's time to kick the coffee drinking habit before I become a only-functional-with-coffee being. Man, it feels like rehabilitation!

Lalala

[Edit: Originally written on Monday]

Had one of the most action packed weekends in my life! First it started out with a horrid work deadline on Friday, which left me having my lunch at 5pm 0.0, and then a farewell cum bday dinner for Matthew and Sharon, followed by a the girls' CZ overnight at Tirzah's house. Sounded like a week's activity rite, but wait...that's only Friday =P On Sat, we awoke to An Swee Lean's lovely cooking =) , and then watched Get Smart and MV, and then to church for a "Facial / Grooming workshop", and then to BSC for Li Wen's farewell. And then and then... =P celebrated a good friend's uni entrance on Sun ;)

What's lovely about those few days was that I finally got to spend time with friends after being forced to seclude myself with work. Was really glad I enjoyed myself before today's other horrid-but-not-as-horrid-as-fri's deadline =) I was initially worried about today as my colleague was outstation, leaving nooby me to fend the evils of last minute deadlines all alone. But God had a way to make sure I know I'm not alone.. As the speaker in church yst spoke on fear which reminded me that God is in control no matter what =) Holding on to John 14:27 today, I succeeded in finishing my work, calm, cool and collected =P PTL!!

World of Happiness?

I was at work searching for some world maps, and came across this! Never knew a Map of World Happiness was ever created! hahaha.. Apparently it was charted by a psychologist after some research he did. And cud ya see Malaysia?? We are rated as happyy people!! LOL! Sure enough we're somewhat happy and contended..but given all the traffic jams and the recent petrol hike, I think they shud lessen the red alot hahaha.. And it's kinda surprising that Russia falls into the most unhappy category..hmmm.. Anyway click on it for a larger view =) Have a nice day!

Work-a-holic not

Entering the 2nd week of my new job now. Kinda like it.. pretty much less stress and less exposure to danger compared to the prev job. Have never worked in a office before.. so sitting in front of my desk (shared with my boss), and having a laptop for myself was a weird feeling. I felt like an underaged worker. Everyone was definitely older than me. Felt like a little "dau gei" in the 1000+ human packed office. Yes...all in 1 floor =P Overall still getting used to work itself.. its hard to wake up at 6am everyday, when the last time i did it a week straight was in form 5.. Lord have mercy =)

ANd todayyy... when I happily thought work was only typing, typing and typing... the task I dreaded the most fell upon me..:

the Drawing of Lines.... =/

You may think it weird, but I really really do have a prob in drawing a straight line! Though given a ruler, my lines will somehow be a few degrees senget resembling this:

=/

I dunno whyy..cause I used to be able to draw perfect straight lines!.. You know what, I think its a psychological matter.. If i'm not mistaken, I somehow convinced myself that I couldn't draw anything straight when I was younger. And sure enough, I couldn't! Eww I sound like a sick person.. but I do really wanna draw straight lines again! Help mee psychologists! =/
